2023 was a daring and productive year.
Daring because of the endless technological challenges I confronted with my site. However, not all was dark and gloomy. Behind the fog, I could see a thin shed of light guiding me to a solution. Following that fainted lighted path, I found a resting place to collect my thoughts. I knew the task ahead was greater than my lack of tech-savvyness, so….. in 2024 I prayed and asked God for guidance. He led me to seek professional help and provided me the means to afford it, too. I was graceful to God for taking that huge bolder from my shoulder and throw it away. Now I can concentrate on what I do best, writing!
What can you, my loyal readers, expect from the new design? High quality content and a user-friendly site. My blog “PatchWords” will take a central role to express my thoughts in English, German, and Spanish. Furthermore, I will share more information about my crown jewel as author: my WWII Oral History Project. I started in 2007. During those years, I interviewed 20 witnesses of different ages and region of Germany. Sadly, only 2 of them are still alive. It is through this project that I realized how my passion for history makes me a hobby historian and LOVE IT!!!!! More to come soon.
Productive because my first picture book, Joey trifft die Zahnfee, was well-received by many reviewers. You can read them here. Furthermore, I was able to do several readings at three regional libraries.
